“Salvatore Accardo and his great school” is the title of the concert that took place last night, October 30, opening the 39th edition of the chamber and symphonic music season at the Teatro Toniolo in Mestre. The evening featured a group of Stauffer students performing alongside Maestro Accardo, creating an artistic encounter between two generations of musicians.
The programme showcased masterpieces of Viennese classicism and late French romanticism: from Mozart’s sonatas (performed by Ulisse Mazzon and Jingzhi Zhang, with Maria Grazia Bellocchio at the piano) to César Franck’s Quintet, in which Salvatore Accardo joined Kumi Shimizu, Zoe Canestrelli, Matteo Fabi and Maria Grazia Bellocchio.
