Stauffer students in concert at the Sorbonne University
Jacobo Christensen Fabuel, Caterina Bartoletti, Zoe Canestrelli, Paolo Tedesco and Edoardo Dolci — five students from the Stauffer Academy’s soloist courses — captivated the audience last Tuesday at the Grand Amphithéâtre de la Sorbonne. Among those in attendance was Guillaume Fiquet, Vice President of the prestigious French university. The young musicians delivered an extraordinary performance, showcasing technical finesse and stylistic sophistication in the virtuosic solo passages of Stravinsky’s Pulcinella “Suite Italienne” and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, performing alongside the musicians of the Orchestre Sorbonne Université under the expert baton of Nicolás Agulló.
The concert further highlights the strong bond between the Stauffer Academy and the Sorbonne, opening the door to deeper and more impactful collaborations.
The next Paris engagement is scheduled for May 19, featuring cellist Paolo Tedesco. The promotion of the young artist was carried out by the students of the Master in Music Administration and Management at the Sorbonne’s Faculty of Arts, Languages, Literature and Humanities.
