Rospigliosi Competition: Triple Win for the Young Musicians of the Stauffer Academy
New and significant successes for the young musicians of the Stauffer Academy.
This time, a well-deserved victory was achieved by three ensembles that won the top prizes at the prestigious “Giulio Rospigliosi” National Competition in the chamber music category.
The overall first prize went to the Trio Bedrich, composed of Margherita Ceruti (violin), Michele Mazzola (cello), and Filippo Piredda (piano), all students of Bruno Giuranna in the Stauffer Academy’s Chamber Music Course.
The Rilke Quartet, an all-female ensemble with Giulia Gambaro and Giada Visentin on violins, Giulietta Bianca Bondio on viola, and Marina Pavani on cello, won the first prize ex-aequo with other ensembles, and additionally received the Chamber Music for Europe Prize.
The New Era Quartet, consisting of Kristina Mlinar and Teodora Kalicanin on violins, Daniele Valabrega on viola, and Alessandro Pietro Dore on cello, earned the second prize.
The two quartets are students of the Stauffer Academy’s Advanced Course in String Quartet, taught by the Quartetto di Cremona.
