FAI Days – 22-23 March
The weekend of March 22-23, 2025, marks the return of the FAI Spring Days, an event dedicated to showcasing lesser-known sites in Cremona that are usually closed to the public.
The Stauffer Foundation, long committed to preserving the artistic and architectural heritage of Cremona, is collaborating with FAI to open the doors of its headquarters.
This year, thanks to the support of the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of the University of Pavia, visitors will have access to the historic rooms of Palazzo Raimondi, including the Foundation’s council hall, offering a chance to explore the history of one of Cremona’s most fascinating architectural complexes.
All openings are available without reservation. A suggested contribution starting from €3.00 will be requested from participants, along with the opportunity to become a member of FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano ETS, supporting the Foundation’s efforts to manage and open its sites to the public.
FAI Spring Days are the flagship event of FAI, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The initiative aims to raise public awareness of Italy’s cultural heritage (and its fragility) while gathering funds to support the Foundation’s ongoing conservation and enhancement efforts. Since 1975, these efforts have saved significant sites from decay, such as the Kolymbethra Garden in Agrigento and the San Francesco Forest in Assisi, making them accessible to the public.
