At the prestigious Auditorium G. Arvedi of the Museo del Violino (8:30 PM), the Stauffer students will share the stage with the Ensemble intercontemporain in the concluding event of BOULEZ100, an extensive project dedicated to the centenary of Pierre Boulez’s birth. A string quartet from the renowned French ensemble — founded by Boulez in 1976 and recognized as a reference for the performance of contemporary music — together with the Stauffer students, will present a programme featuring works by Boulez, Bach, Canat de Chizy and Webern. The concert is part of a series of initiatives through which Ensemble intercontemporain pays tribute to the centenary of its founder and will offer a preview of the programme to be performed in Paris in May.
