The Chamber Music Week is an artistic project dedicated to chamber music groups enrolled in the annual and triennial courses of the Stauffer Academy in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
The programme of activities, which will take place from the 1st to the 5th of October 2024, includes masterclasses, open lessons and public concerts. The selected groups will be trained and guided by David Finckel and Wu Han, internationally renowned chamber musicians and Artistic Directors of the Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center in New York.
The groups that will have distinguished themselves during the week will be the protagonists of the final concert.
The course is open exclusively to ensembles enrolled in the String Quartet and Viola & Chamber Music Courses at the Stauffer Academy in the 2024-25 Academic Year.
Applications are already open to the ensemble who have applied for the aforementioned courses.
Applications will be completed only after the admission exams for the String Quartet and Viola & Chamber Music courses; therefore, only applications from groups admitted to the courses will be considered.
To apply, only one representative from each group is invited to send the application (through the ‘Apply’ box at the end of the page), attaching the following documents:
When submitting your application, please choose ‘I am enrolled in an annual course at the Stauffer Academy’ in the drop-down menu.

No administrative fee is required to finalize the application.
Other expenses related to travel, food and accommodation in Cremona are borne by the students themselves.
