Guest Professor

Andrea Lucchesini, winner of the Dino Ciani Competition at Teatro alla Scala, is renowned for the poetic intensity of his interpretations. He enjoyed a long artistic partnership with Luciano Berio, recording the complete piano works for AVIE to critical acclaim. Active both as a soloist and chamber musician, his repertoire spans from Schubert to contemporary music.

Lucchesini is Guest Professor for the Advanced Programme in String Quartet, as part of a special project titled ‘Playing with the Maestro’. Selected string quartets from among the course participants will have the opportunity to rehearse, study, and work with Lucchesini in the preparation of a piano quintet from the repertoire.

The project will conclude with a final concert featuring the prepared quintets — a unique opportunity to share the stage with a great artist.
