The final concert of the Chamber Music Week
On October 5th, the Sala Manfredini of the “Ala Ponzone” Civic Museum hosted the final concert of the Chamber Music Week, featuring three of the thirteen chamber ensembles that had animated five intense days of masterclasses led by David Finckel and Wu Han, the artistic directors of the Chamber Music Society of the Lincoln Center. The initiative was reserved for students of the String Quartet and Viola & Chamber Music courses.
Guided by David Finckel and Wu Han, the three chamber groups presented a stylistically versatile programme. The Quartetto Goldberg performed Haydn’s “Quinten,” while the Trio Fenice interpreted Shostakovich’s Trio No. 2. To conclude the evening, the Quintetto Dedalo played Dvořák’s Quintet No. 2 for strings and piano.
